Discover Mana Pools National Park

With an extent of 2196 km, Mana Pools National park is synonymous with the Zambezi River, elephants, lions, remoteness and wilderness. This unique park is a World Heritage Site based on its wilderness and beauty, together with the wide range of large mammals, over 350 bird species and aquatic wildlife. Mana Pools is also one of Zimbabwe’s big 5 parks.

On the old river terraces, tourists can walk unaccompanied by guides in the open Albida woodland with little danger of coming across dangerous animals. This privilege of walking alone in area with dangerous wildlife is unique in Zimbabwe.

Chikwenya Camp

The newly-built seven-tented camp (including two family units) is surrounded by a dense forest of albida and Natal mahogany trees, which provide deep shade in the heat of the day. The tents perch on low wooden decks and pine walkways link them to the raised main area.

Set in one of the wildest and most remote parts of Africa, on the banks of one of the oldest rivers in the world, Nyamatusi allows guests to experience an authentic view of the old untouched Africa. Consisting of six luxury tented suites with uninterrupted views of the river and escarpment beyond.

Kanga Camp

Set in the most remote part of the World Heritage Site in Mana Pools is the Kanga Pan. The 12-bedded tented camp has en-suite bathroom facilities with outdoor showers and basins overlooking the water hole. Two of the tents are family/honeymoon tents with their own private dining area.

Ten spacious tents (including two family units), along with a generous main space, enjoy the broad vista of the Zambezi River.  There is a separate pool area, a unique outdoor “bath with a view” in a secluded, scenic spot, and for the romantic, a Star Bed is located nearby.

Set amongst the iconic albida trees that characterise the region, the camp is built on wooden decks offering three (or four for private bookings) airy and elegant tents conveying the romance of a bygone era. The stylish living spaces, including a dining room and lounge as well as a plunge pool.
