Discover Tarangire National Park

Tarangire National Park has some of the highest population density of elephants as compared to anywhere in Tanzania, and its sparse vegetation, strewn with baobab and acacia trees, makes it a beautiful and distinctive location to visit.

Located just a few hours drive from the town of Arusha, Tarangire is a popular stop for people travelling through the northern safari circuit on their way to Ngorongoro and the Serengeti. The park extends into two game controlled areas and the wildlife is allowed to move freely throughout.

Sanctuary Swala Camp

Sanctuary Swala’s welcoming communal spaces blend chic style with relaxed open-air living. Traditional peaked thatch roofs harmonise beautifully with the surroundings bush and keep these areas cool in the hot months. Set on stilts around ancient towering baobab trees.

Tarangire Treetops

Tarangire Treetops has an adventurous and exotic feel. Twenty suites, each 65 sq metres with a private balcony, are lavishly furnished. Natural materials are blended with contemporary Africana décor, to provide guests with a unique and most memorable safari experience.

Ndovu Tented Lodge

Tarangire Ndovu Tented Lodge is located in the heart of Tarangire, Tanzania’s wild land and landscapes. Tarangire is famed for its massive elephant herds, true sense of wilderness and a gentle backdrop of baobabs. It is the lesser visited but more intriguing park on the northern circuit.

Chem Chem Lodge

Nowhere does Chem Chem Lodge impose, but rather blends in with the unfenced wilderness that stretches on all sides. The permanent structure of Chem Chem’s main Lodge reflects the form of a flamingo with its wings spread wide for landing. One wing holds the full-service gourmet restaurant.

Little Chem Chem

This intimate camp offers six elegantly decorated vintage tents, each with a large bedroom (three have king-size beds, two offer twin beds), and 1 larger Family Tent. Each is complete with a rocking chair and study desk, a vanity area with dressing room and an en suite bathroom with a shower.
